Olivia Farrell

Olivia completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. As part of her studies, she dedicated two years to neonatal research at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

In her final year of medical school, Olivia’s journey took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia, a Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome. This personal encounter with Bone Marrow Failure provided a deep understanding of the patient journey and the importance of evidence based comprehensive care for patients.

Olivia now works as a junior medical doctor at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

With her blend of medical expertise and firsthand experience as a patient with a Bone Marrow Failure syndrome, Olivia brings a unique perspective to the Scientific Advisory Committee.
