Leaving a gift to Maddie’s Vision

If you are considering leaving a gift to Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision in your Will, we recommend speaking with your solicitor or legal adviser to ensure your wishes are properly reflected.

Our lawyers have prepared the following suggested wording that you may wish to provide to your solicitor:

“I GIVE [amount/percentage or part/whole of my residue] to Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision (ABN 20 613 016 765) of Level 4, 88 Jolimont Street, East Melbourne (“MRV”), Victoria for its general purposes BUT IF at any time before receipt of its entitlement MRV has ceased to exist or has amalgamated with another organisation or has changed its name or for any other reason is unable to accept the gift, its entitlement shall not fail but my trustees shall pay it to the charitable organisation which my trustees consider most nearly fulfills the objects that I intended to benefit in their sole and absolute discretion. I DIRECT that the receipt of an authorised officer of MRV shall be sufficient to discharge to my trustees who shall not be obliged to see the application thereof.”
