Dr Ashleigh Scott

Dr Ashleigh Scott is a clinical/laboratory haematologist and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Physician. He completed dual haematology training in 2016, and is employed as a senior staff specialist BMT Physician at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.  He is the scientific writer for the ALLG transplantation and cellular therapy working party, a member of the EVIQ BMT reference committee, and the BMT tumour stream research lead at RBWH.

Dr Scott’s research interests include transplantation immunology, BMT clinical trials, and the translation of molecular discovery using PET imaging. His PhD, completed in 2023, examined novel molecular imaging biomarkers in gastrointestinal graft versus host disease. Dr Scott is a visiting scientist in the Transplant Immunology laboratory at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, collaborating as a co-chief investigator in translational GVHD biomarker studies.

Dr Scott has a specific interest in advancing the clinical care of patients with bone marrow failure syndromes, particularly with regard to refining diagnosis and optimising transplant outcomes.
