Steph Chiocci is an AFLW legend, who now plays for the St Kilda Football Club.
Prior to joining St Kilda in 2023, she played for the Collingwood Football Club for seven seasons, including as co-captain from 2021.
In July, she signed up as an ambassador for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.
“I’m really proud to be an ambassador for Maddie’s Vision,” she added.
“Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes has impacted many peoples’ lives and it’s something we need to talk more about.
“It requires more research and funding, and that is what has motivated me to get involved,” Steph added.
Steph first heard about Maddie’s Riewoldt’s Vision through her involvement with the AFL.
“I saw the first game between Richmond and St Kilda (in 2015) with Jack Riewoldt and Nick Riewoldt being at the forefront of that, and I wanted to know more about what was going on,” she added
Steph shared that “a new Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome diagnosis every 2-3 days is a really staggering and frightening statistic, so we need to do something about it.”
