Nick Riewoldt wins MasterChef in honour of Maddie

What a night! Nick Riewoldt was crowned the winner of Celebrity MasterChef. An unexpected but thrilling highlight of 2021.

Nick told viewers that his sister Maddie was “a big part of the motivation for coming on MasterChef because she passed away in 2015 from bone marrow failure. She was 26. She was a huge advocate for change in that space and we’ve picked up that challenge in her name.”

She was also a “big foodie. MasterChef was right up her alley. I’m so determined to do her proud on this show.”

Nick absolutely did Maddie and the whole Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision community proud.

Not only did take out the charity prize, but he also competed with kindness and care for others.

The money will power Maddie’s fight for better outcomes and cures for people with Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes by helping us fund the much-needed medical research and raising awareness of the conditions that affect thousands of Australians.

Congratulations to Tilly Ramsay and Collette Dinnigan for a hard-fought finale. We were on the edge of our seats.
