April 2025
We were truly honoured to welcome The Hon. Peter Dutton MP, Leader of the Opposition, and Senator the Hon. Anne Ruston, Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care, for this important announcement. An elected Dutton Coalition Government will invest $3 million over three years to support Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.
This funding will grow our Centre for Research Excellence in Bone Marrow Biology, ensure the continuation of our patient and family support services, fund educational programs, and secure the future of Australia’s Bone Marrow Failure Registry and Biobank.

Our guests also had the privilege of meeting Olivia, one of the inspirational patients from the Maddie’s Vision community. Since her Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome diagnosis in 2021, Maddie’s Vision has been there to support Olivia and her family. Now in remission, Olivia and her partner Craig have recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Gracie. Her story is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come, and why our work is so important.
We are incredibly grateful to the Coalition for making this funding commitment to ensure that no family faces a Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome diagnosis alone, and that we can continue to fund vital research in search of better treatments and a cure.
