Increased support for patients and families in Tasmania

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the efforts of The Alex Gadomski Fellowship and Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, the Haematology Clinical Nurse Consultant role at the Royal Hobart Hospital is expanding from 3 to 5 days a week. This expansion will support more Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome patients and families throughout Tasmania.

The Haematology Clinical Nurse Consultant provides invaluable assistance to patients and families affected by bone marrow failure, including education on diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management.

This role will work closely with the Maddie’s Vision Telehealth Nurse service, ensuring patients and families receive the support they need during this complex and challenging journey.

Thank you to the Gadomski family and everyone who has helped or contributed to fundraising for The Alex Gadomski Fellowship. This role extension will make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families in Tasmania.
