Dr John Mackintosh MBBS (Hons), BSc, FRACP, is a respiratory and lung transplant physician at the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. He completed a clinical fellowship in interstitial lung disease at the prestigious Royal Brompton Hospital in London. He is a national leader in pulmonary fibrosis genetics and is chair of the quarterly Australasian Interstitial Lung Disease Genetics Multi-Disciplinary Meeting. He has authored over 60 publications in international journals on interstitial lung disease and lung transplantation. He was a chief investigator on the TELO-SCOPE trial of danazol in short telomere associated pulmonary fibrosis.
