Associate Professor Rachel Koldej

Associate Professor Rachel Koldej is Senior Scientist in the ACRF Translational Research Laboratory at Royal Melbourne Hospital. She obtained her PhD in the development of lentiviral gene therapy vector technology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr Arthur Nienhuis at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, USA in the development of lentiviral gene therapy vectors for the treatment of Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome. A/Prof Koldej’s current research focuses on the immunology of blood cancers with a focus on the impact  of conventional and emerging therapies on non-tumour immune cells and the immunology of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and acquired Bone Marrow Failure conditions.
