In April, 11-year-old Hugo embarked on a lifetime challenge by cycling 350 kilometres along the east coast of Tasmania to support his mate Will, who has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia, and raise vital funds for Maddie’s Vision.

In June, Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision CEO Amy Coote presented Hugo with a Certificate of Appreciation for his extraordinary cycling and fundraising efforts and to thank him for raising an incredible $28,850!
“Hugo’s determination to push himself to the absolute limits, physically and mentally, to support his friend is incredibly inspiring,” Amy said.
“Hugo should be so proud of his efforts; we definitely are. The money he has raised will go a long way to help other families living with Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes,” Amy added.
A huge thanks goes to Hugo’s family who played an important role in this outstanding achievement.
