2024 CRE Expert Webinar on Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes

The Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision Centre of Research Excellence in Bone Marrow Biology, along with our exclusive sponsor Novartis, are proud to present the second Expert Webinar for our scientific community featuring guest speaker, Professor Alan Warren.

Expert Webinar 2 – Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome
Thursday 25th July 2024
4pm – 5pm AEST

Virtual, via Zoom (link will be provided to registered participants)

Alan is currently Professor of Haematology at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He will be discussing how new technologies are providing insights into the molecular basis of the ribosomopathy Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS), including addressing the following questions:

  • How does a germline ribosome assembly defect associated with impaired stem cell fitness drive evolution to blood cancer?
  • Can we harness these insights to improve risk stratification and develop personalised medicine approaches in SDS and inherited marrow failure disorders more generally?

Click here to read more about Professor Alan Warren’s research.

We would like to acknowledge and extend our sincere gratitude to our exclusive sponsor for their generous support of this webinar series:
