Ambassador
Darcy is a Carlton AFLW player. She played in the inaugural season in 2017 and won the league’s leading goal kicker.
Hailing from Wangaratta, Darcy started playing football at 5 years of age, following in the footsteps of her older brother Zeb. She was forced out of the game at 14, as there were no opportunities for women and girls to play in Wangaratta at the time.
After moving to Melbourne for university studies, Darcy had the opportunity to pull the boots back on and resume her career. At 23, she has played senior women’s football for 5 seasons with the Darebin Falcons in the VFL. During this time, she’s played in 4 premierships and represented Victoria on multiple occasions.
Darcy has also been an AFL Multicultural Ambassador since the beginning of 2016. Outside of football, Darcy works as a graphic designer at Carlton FC. She has worked on their AFLW guernsey design as well as the inaugural GameChanger campaign.
Growing up supporting St Kilda, Darcy followed Maddie Riewoldt’s journey and wanted to help in any way possible when the opportunity arose.
