Alana started playing cricket at the age of 9 at Oakleigh Cricket club. Alana’s brother and father were her biggest influences for her to play cricket.

At the age of 13, Alana was selected to play for Victoria in a u13 schools tournament. Oakleigh Cricket club was of great guidance for Alana in her junior years, playing along side boys helped Alana strengthen her game and expose her to the different aspects of the game. Playing at Oakleigh until 17, she was lucky enough to play in 2 winning grand finals. At the age of 13, Alana started playing Women’s Premier Cricket for Dandenong Women’s Cricket Club.

As Alana’s cricket career grew she was selected for Victoria for under 13 and Under 15 teams. In 2010, a VicSpirit opportunity came about allowing Alana to learn a huge amount from senior players as well as a lot about fitness, diet and training. She was to be able to take her cricket to the next level.

In 2015/16 season Alana made the decision to move to Prahran. During that same season she was also given the opportunity to play for Melbourne Stars for the inaugural season of the WBBL01. Continuing to work hard at club level to again be given the opportunity with VicSpirit.

In 2017 Alana also had the fabulous opportunity to be part of the Cricket Australia squad and was picked for Australia A to tour Sri Lanka in 2017, as well as a CA X1 to play against England in a tour match, prior to the Ashes that year.

Today, 4 seasons on from her first WBBL, Alana is still with the Melbourne Stars and will be representing Victoria for her 4th consecutive season 2019/2020.
