maddie's marrowthon 2016

In 2016 we got to celebrate our first ever school's fundraising program, Maddie's Marrowthon, held 22 August until 2 September raising over $10,000!

Maddie's MarrowThon called on school aged children in years 5 to 8 to get involved in our first ever school's fundraiser.

Invited to take part in the two-week MarrowThon, participants were to set themselves a personal challenge - whether it be sports, arts, academic or wellbeing - to encourage students to be brave like Maddie, and step outside their comfort zone.

Schools were provided with education teaching modules in order for participating students and classes to learn about bone marrow and blood education, as well as about the importance of philanthropy.

We'd like to thank everyone who supported Maddie's MarrowThon in its first year. All our participants did an amazing job, and raised over $10,000 to support our fight against bone marrow failure.

Already we're looking forward to 2017 being an even bigger campaign! We couldn't be happier and appreciate all challenges made and braved!

Special thanks to our ambassadors
